Ibn Sina foundation strengthens Islamic research and cultural exchanges in Russia

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour praised the Quranic research efforts of the Ibn Sina Foundation in Russia. During his visit, he reviewed projects related to translation, Islamic studies, and digital outreach. Kazan was announced as the 2025 Cultural Capital of the Muslim World.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour, has praised the Quranic research activities of the Ibn Sina Foundation in Russia.

During a visit to the foundation on Wednesday, Imanipour emphasized the importance of Quranic studies and the development of the "Al-Quran" website in Russian as an effective step toward implementing directives from the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

He met with heads of various foundation departments, reviewing past achievements and upcoming initiatives planned for the year ahead.

Imanipour commended the foundation’s projects in oral history, documentation, translation, publication, and event organization, particularly its engagements with Russian scholars and researchers.

He noted that specialized work in Islamic studies always finds an audience, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to modern digital platforms and Russian-language outreach, particularly in Quranic sciences.

Hamid Hadavi, president of the Ibn Sina Foundation, expressed gratitude for ICRO’s initial support in establishing the foundation and its ongoing collaboration.

He detailed the foundation’s activities and partnerships with Russian institutions, intellectuals, and cultural entities, including participation in book exhibitions and contributions to Sadra publications.

Hadavi also mentioned the foundation’s training courses, which involve Russian and Iranian teachers and have been widely appreciated by Russian students.

The Ibn Sina Foundation, founded by Imanipour in 2007, has been active in Russia, focusing on Islamic research, cultural content production, conferences, translation, and publishing.

Imanipour traveled to Russia to attend the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s meeting of culture ministers, held alongside the Russia-Islamic World: Kazan Forum.

Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, has been designated as the 2025 Cultural Capital of the Muslim World.
